Our olive oil originates at the foot of an ancient country house in the rolling hills of Umbria. The olive grove consists of three varieties (70% Moraiolo, 15% Leccino and 15% Frantoio) and is known for its healthy and remarkably flavorful olive oil.
The olives of this extra virgin olive oil were picked in October 2022, when the olives are still green and they are still full of healthy antioxidants. The olives were pressed and filtered within 6 hours of picking, and sealed with azotum at bottling to protect the oil from oxygen and keep it fresh. This EVOO has a shelf life of at least until July 2024.
The result is an honestly produced, top quality extra virgin olive oil. The extra virgin label is due to an acidity and purity that is up to six times lower than the quota imposed.
The Casa Astrid extra virgin olive oil can be tasted in 250ml, 500ml and 750ml bottles. Not only very tasty in salads or for frying fish and meat, but also proven healthy.
