Balsamic vinaigrette
Making your own vinaigrette doesn’t have to be difficult and will give your salads a delicious extra touch. You can also keep this balsamic vinaigrette for a few weeks! You can easily adapt this basic recipe to your own taste, just add your favorite ingredients!
Recipe for about 20 centiliters vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 15 centiliters extra virgin olive oil
- 5 centiliters balsamic vinaigrette
- Salt
- Coarse pepper
- To your own taste: a spoonful of mustard, fresh or dried herbs, chopped garlic, a spoonful of honey
Preparation
- Mix the olive oil and balsamic in a jam jar or other container with a tight-fitting lid
- Add a large pinch of salt and a few turns of the pepper mill
- Turn the lid tightly on the jar and shake long and hard. Taste with a piece of lettuce to see if the proportions are right and add fresh or dried herbs to taste
- Depending on your dish, you can add a spoonful of mustard or honey or use fresh herbs to give your salads a delicious extra touch!
Tip: You can easily store the vinaigrette on your countertop for several weeks (if you add fresh ingredients, store in the refrigerator)!
